“ಯಾವುದೇ ಒಂದು ದೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ” ಎನ್ನುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಕಾರ್ಯದಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅತೀವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನಿರಿಸಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನಾರಿಗೂ ಸದೃಢ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಕೇವಲ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಕಲಿಸುವವರಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಈ ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವವರು. ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾಗಿದಾರ ಪೋಷಕರ ನಡುವೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸೇತುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವರು. ಅಂತಹ ಸಮರ್ಥ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕನಸು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ-ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬೆನ್ನೆಲುಬಾಗಿ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಗುರಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆಶಯ.
